Eleven musicians bring Dvořák’s beloved Serenade, Jonathan Dove’s playful Figures in the Garden, and the world premiere of Scott Stevenson’s nice, fresh to life. Featured visual artist Fred Draper completes an evening built around seeing and hearing familiar things in new ways.

    Think you know what four saxophones can do? Chicago’s acclaimed ~Nois Quartet celebrates its 10th season with music ranging from Márquez and d’Rivera to some of today’s most exciting composers. Artist Diana Leviton Gondek brings her richly layered, story-driven paintings to this seriously unexpected Rendezvous debut.

    The holidays deserve a little swing. Pianist Jo Ann Daugherty joins bassist Joshua Ramos and drummer Ryan Bennett for an intimate evening of irresistible jazz, beautiful melodies, and a few seasonal surprises. Chicago artist Deborah Maris Lader adds another layer of discovery through her imaginative printmaking, sculpture, and mixed-media work.

    Warm up January with Rendezvous favorites Emi Tanabe and Gabriel Datcu. As Apasionado Duo, violin and guitar travel from fiery Argentinian tango and jazz to music from around the world. Featured artist Anne Leuck brings the same spirit of curiosity and play through her colorful paintings, illustrations, and sketchbook-inspired work.

ATLYS takes four classical instruments from folk and pop to film music, electronic dance music, and original works, all created or arranged especially for them.
